Buddhist Kids

I was very fortunate to take photos of these boys when I was at the House of Siam (Thai food Restaurant) in Downtown San Jose. After the shoot, one of the boy's mother introduced me to the Insight Meditation Center (IMC). That conversation with the mother helped start a new chapter in my life. It's very interesting to observe that simple encounters can be life changing and taken for granted. Epiphanies can be deceptively simple and it teaches us to appreciate the wisdom of each moment. I'm always in a state of awe and deep gratification when I look back and see how life is mysterious in many ways. Encounters like these reminds us that we're all connected in someway. Maybe we can uncover our connection with each other if we continue to engage each person with care and an open-heart.

20091220-011-117
This was for the Dance for a Cause event organized by Cheryl Burke and the members from the community. I had a great time to see everyone's enthusiasm to participate towards to benefit victims from the typhoon Kesana and Parma that devastated the Philippines. Unfortunately,I was not able to stay for the whole event because I was too fatigue from the weather. However, thanks to my Auntie Jane and Uncle Brett, we worked well as a team and took awesome photographs!
